Socialization
Puppies do best when they are well socialized with other dogs and pups as well as people of all sizes. Regularly take them out for puppy play dates and visit with friends and family. We recommend doing your own research to learn what techniques and ideas work for you and your family. The time you put into socializing your pup when he/she is young will make for a happy and well adjusted adult dog.
Obedience Training
We highly recommend enrolling in an obedience class as soon as your pup is old enough. You will learn how to use simple commands as well as how to properly walk your dog. Each trainer will be different, but will be able to help problem solve any issues that might arise from your unique pup.
Food
We start our puppies on Nutri Source puppy food. They offer high quality food that offers balance of nutrition, physical wellness, and mental well-being for our puppies and adult dogs. When you go home with your pup, we will supply you with five days worth of dog food. At 8 weeks your puppy will eat approximately 3-4 times a day, about 1/4 c. at each meal. This will change as they grow. Please follow any guidelines your vet gives you at their 1st check up.
